Average: 3.5 (2 votes)

I have been playing the piano for four years but I don't have a piano at my house. I have a keyboard but I like never practice on it. I go up to my grandmas to practice. I would like to get more practicing in expecialy on the days I have dance. My dad and I want a baby grand piano. What brand would you suggest and why? How much mony do you think we should spend. We want a good quility piano. It has to be good souning too.

We finally got a paino!! It is not a grand though. It has a grand soundboard on the bright side. Thanks for all of the suggestions.

Could be too late, but: I agree with Jennifer in that Yamahas are good quality. If you were to get an upright, get the P22 (studio upright). For some reason the full-fledged grand-upright doesn't sound as good. Good luckÜ

Thanks Jennifer! I will take that into account. My school has Yamahas and I like the feeling of them.

[Edit: Argh. Sorry, my post is long. To read the whole thing, click "more"!]

I'm not a piano expert but I would like to offer some input. Smiling I've played Yamaha pianos for a really long time and I really like them. I'm not sure of the price (my parents purchased it when I was 4 or 5 years old; I'm 17 now) but Yamaha instruments are really good quality. I played a Yamaha baby grand when I had lessons at my former piano teacher's house. At home I play a Yamaha upright. If you want to save money, I think uprights are less expensive. Uprights aren't as wonderful as baby grands but they are great for practice. If you want to stick with keyboards, I hear that there are keyboards that have hammer-action (which makes it sound and feel like a real piano). In addition, a high quality keyboard will be less expensive than a piano. I don't really know which keyboard brands are good but I do know that Yamaha makes them too. Laughing out loud I hope this helps! Good luck with your search! - Jennifer

Hey there KY!
I wish I could help you out, but I'm not much of a piano player yet (I play string bass),
I just wanted to say good luck!
Smiling
