Pianists, please help!
I have been having really bad upper back problems while practicing. It starts really aching about 10 minutes into practice and gets bad enough that I can't focus and I start getting overheated. Any good exercises or posture tips that I should be aware of? Please help!

i dont thinkive ever gotten a heated bak ,mate but i always keep my shoulders straight up and feet planted firmly to the floor unless pedaling.hope i helped, good day
For those also struggling, my teacher said that just even little adjustments can help. She suggested that I sit further back on my bench, (I have loong legs, so I tend to scoot the bench really far back and sit on the edge), and it has helped some. She also said that, if it's inflamed, I should take an ibuprofen before playing so that it doesn't become more inflamed.
Catie, thanks for the suggestion, I'll try it! They might help me get in longer practices.
Try ThermaCare heat wraps. They work REALLY well!!!
I have to agree. I have the same problem. I try to sit as straight as I can when that happens, but other than that I don't know what to do. My back just burns. What to do, what to do?
