Live From Wisconsin

Hey there everyone! Just dropping a line from Wisconsin, where we've just begun a few concerts after spending a whole week in Iowa. It's great to be able to spend two weeks on the road and be able to drive to all the concerts... the less airports the better, as far as we're concerned! The weather's been a little on the chilly side out in this area, just as we were getting used to the springtime weather back home in Utah... Enough of winter already, right???

Seeing as though it's the first day of April today, we were just teasing Ryan that next month he'll be a MARRIED man! Boy, how the first few months of this new year have just flown by... Ryan really is a lucky guy -- Tera, his soon-to-be-wife, is really such an amazing person, and we look forward to having her around for good. And then there's the fact that we will only have one more wedding after this one in our family -- phew! Greg's completely owning the fact that he's the only single one left in the family...

Although it feels that we've been pretty busy the past few months, all seems to be going fairly well for all of us. We're coming into several months of a less busy touring schedule, which means our learning new rep time has come along again! We're getting a whole new program put together as we speak, with several awesome surprises thrown in. We think you guys will really like this new program that we'll start performing this fall, so stay tuned!

Keep posting, and thank you all for the sweet and supportive comments you give us. We really do appreciate them ALL!
Til later,
Deondra

Hey! Thanks for the update, Deondra! I was wondering if any of you 5 can play Chopin's Fantasie-Impromptu in C Sharp Minor, Op. 66. If so, that's my favorite song, and I'd love to see you guys play it or record it (if possible).

Hi guys!

My name is Juliana and like many others who already wrote in this blog, I had the pleasure of being in the fireside on April 6th here in Monterrey. I learned a lot from all of you, and your words made me think about some little but important things in my life. Thanks for your disposition even if that was a very VERY exhausting -but incredible-day. I hope you had enjoyed your stay in our country an specially in our beautiful city Sticking out tongue!!

My cousin and I are very excited because you met Desiree Gonzalez!!! Isn't she great??? We admire her so much and she admire you guys so much!!! Lol, but seriously she's an excellent student from the UANL!!!

Wow, you're living your dreams!! That's something I wanna do too, please keep doing what you love without leaving behind the Lord!!

Congratulations, Ryan!!! "¡¡Vivan los novios!!" Laughing out loud (lol, that's something that we say when a couple get married)

Thanks for everything!!!

-----Aww... I did not shake your hands because of the crowd, you know, here in Mexico people usually loose all reason when foreign people come, lol, but anyway! you have a blog! I read about it in a local newspaper and wanted to say hi to all of you Sticking out tongue

Good day!

I still remember the first time I saw you, I was incandescently happy! I have like a thousand things I want to say. First of all, thank you for all the pictures you let me had with you. (because I don't know when will we meet again). I had a great experience during the fireside, thanks a lot for your speeches and testimonies, they were very fortifying. There's never enough time, I wanted to talked with you about piano stuff, piano works, artists, composers... but like I said, there's not enough time. I REALLY enjoyed your concert, I've never seen something like that!!! You break up the serious protocol making it fun and original ..in a very innovative way. I read in a Gyorgy Sandor's book that techique becomes music, and I definitely saw that in you!! You have a brilliant, soft and strong touch at the same time. Another thing (among many others I'm impressed) is that you really have the works technically under control and then you make the sweetest and finest interpretation with musicality overflowing in your entire beings. Every note was in its place, every phrase was carefully builded, every vituoso passage was succesfully done. Thanks for give me/us this great opportunity of listening true gifted pianists... When I got home that night, I heard the firebird like 10 times!!! I was amazed and thinking on how you imitated the orchestra sounds.. you know.. the wind and brass section... There's something I want to ask.. How you do to have great dexterity and complete independence in the left hand? because mine doesn't work sometimes hahaha is very clumsy. please give me tips!! I'm playing Chopin's black keys etude.. kind of hard to me.. (desiree_g88@hotmail.com) By the way, I wanted to ask ( in the concert's questions part) Who is your favorite composer? I'm madly in love forever with Rachmaninov! His misticism, harmonies and melancholic feelings is what really attracts me. I also like Debussy, Ravel, Glinka, Chopin, Liszt...

There's nothing to say but a huge THANK YOU!!! God bless you!!

Regards,
